Our office provides resources and data for coordinated project development and implementation for space planning, remodels, relocations and back-fill analysis. Many of the Health Science research buildings house University of Pittsburgh employees but are maintained by UPMC. Depending on the location of the project, we work with either Pitt Facilities Management or UPMC Health Services Division, Facilities Development Department.
The Department of Facilities Management provides quality construction and facilities' services by leading, planning and managing the University’s facilities’ and utilities’ resources to maintain and produce healthy learning physical environments that are safe, attractive, efficient and sustainable.
The UPMC Health Services Division, Facilities Development Department provides architectural planning, interior design, equipment planning, relocation coordination, and construction project management services for all capital improvement projects occurring on UPMC hospital campuses located within Allegheny County. In addition, the department delivers project management services to the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
